is The Odyssey System?
The
Odyssey System consists of three separate
but interdependent ways of working: Assumptions
Work, Persona Work, and Journeying. This
page offers you a brief description of each of the 3 paths to
Self-discovery
and empowerment.
ASSUMPTIONS WORK
Assumptions
Work focuses on your answer
to the question "Why am
I dealing with this situation
in this
way rather than
some
other way?" It lets
you discover the hidden
assumptions that shape
the ways you think, feel,
and behave. Once your hidden
assumptions are uncovered,
you can consider whether
they still work for you,
or if you should replace
them with others that promise
to work better. When you
recognize your assumptions,
you can make better choices.
PERSONA
WORK
Persona Work allows you to make use of the
fact that we are complex beings. Think of yourself as made up of
a number of different parts (personas) who play your various social
roles. Persona Work has you name and describe each of your personas.
Next, you learn how to get them to talk to one another and work
together. Then your personas can unravel your most complex personal
problems and allow you to make better decisions.

JOURNEYING
Journeying takes place in a world you enter
by way of a self-induced trance state. There, you and your personas embark
on a journey of personal and spiritual discovery that may continue over
many sessions. Journeying is like a postgraduate course in the Odyssey
System, and you need a qualified guide to help you.

FACILITATOR TRAINING PROGRAM
Mastery of the Odyssey System prepares you to help others learn and
apply its strategies and tools to improve their own lives. If you are
a helping professional or in process of becoming one, our Facilitator
Training Program will qualify and support you for such a role. In conjunction
with our workshops and seminars, our training program offers the following
opportunities:
Internships: As an intern you receive supervised on-the-job training
in workshops and seminars.
Certification: Upon graduation, you earn an OTRI Certificate of Completion
that qualifies you for the many resources available in our Professional
Support Program, including Consulting Services, Continuing Education,
and OTRI’s Referral Service.
